Turkish Company Gulermak elected as the capital of Poland for the extension of Warsaw Metro

The Turkish Company Gülermak Has Been Selected For Extension Works Of The Polish Capital Warsaw Metro: The tender for the extension of the Warsaw Metro, the capital of Poland, found its owners. The tender for the two-way extension of the Warsaw Metro Line 2 will be undertaken by the Turkish company Gülermak for the westward extension and Astaldi for the east direction.

Gulermak Construction will carry out the 3,5-km-long extension of the line to the west. The cost of the expansion of 3 stations will be 1,15 billion zloty (862 million tl). The extension of the 3,1 km long east-direction work by the Astaldi company 1,07 billion zloty (802 million tl) will be made. There will be 3 stations on this line as in the west.

85 part of the cost of the projects to be funded by the European Union funds. Construction works of the lines are planned to end in 2019. The expansion of the second line of the Warsaw Metro to the west will continue from Rondo to Daszynskiego. The eastward expansion will continue from Rondo to Warszawa Wilenska.
