Tekkeköy Tram Line will be in 10.10.2016: Mayor of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz gave a clear date about the completion of the construction of the railway system between the Gar junction and Tekkeköy. The system goes into service at 10.10.2016.
One of the most important steps in the 14 kilometer line between the Gar and Tekkkeköy was passed by increasing the prestige of Samsun and bringing Samsun to a completely different view.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Yurt, Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Zennube Albayrak, Head of Science Department Serkan Çam and SAMULAŞ General Manager Kadir Gürkan attended the meeting. During the erection of the masts, Mayor Yilmaz took the key in his hand and squeezed the screws with his own hand.

Speaking after the installation of the rail system electricity poles, Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz said, “We had finished the west side of the rail system. We have also reached an important stage regarding the eastern process of the rail system. At this stage, the assembly of all the catenary poles, switch stations, transformers and even the mechanism that will provide electrical analysis started today. As of today, the Samsun rail system has entered an intensive working period, which will be finished and put into service in 2016. We have previously completed the 10.10.2010-kilometer University-Train Interchange on 17. When they asked our friends about the date we will finish between Gar Junction and Tekkeköy, they said '10 October 2016'. It became a symbol for us. Hopefully, we will finish the 14-kilometer rail system on the east side of our city on this date and present it to the service of our people. ”
