Two prototypes of the wagons, for which TÜDEMSAŞ had previously completed their work, were tested at the international standard test center in Austria. After successfully passing the tests, TÜDEMSAŞ received the TSI certificate for Sgns, the lowest narrowed modern freight wagon in Europe, which will be produced 200 units.
TÜDEMSAŞ General Manager and Chairman of the Board, Yıldıray Koçarslan, made a statement at the TSI Certificate delivery ceremony for the Sgns type wagon, which will start mass production. Koçarslan said, “TSI certification process of the Sgns type container wagon has been completed. In order to dominate the markets of the freight wagon sector of Europe and the Middle East, we need to produce our wagon production, maintenance, repair, revision and spare parts production of wagons completely in accordance with European standards. We made a serious work and effort on this subject. In the continuation of this, if there is no problem until the end of the year, the certification processes of our Talns type ore transport wagon and Zacens type heated cistern wagon will be completed. When we come to 2018, we will have 10 different types of wagons with TSI certification approval, together with our national wagon. From here, I congratulate all our units, our colleagues and our fellow travelers. Nurettin Yıldırım, the owner of the contractor company, stated that they will produce 200 Sgns type wagons in accordance with TSI conditions with the public-private sector cooperation and Tüdemsaş said, “The mentality at TÜDEMSAŞ has undergone a great change in the last 3 years. In the railway sector, the government has given great importance to railways in the last 13 years. Here, we see TÜDEMSAŞ's 75 years of knowledge, knowledge and experience as the most important factor of success. Success is not something that can be achieved alone. I would like to emphasize that success is a product of teamwork. In the world, the process of designing, prototype manufacturing, testing and certification of a very successful wagon in its class has not been so quickly. TÜDEMSAŞ, Head of R&D Department, Mahmut Demir, gave information about the technical features and testing process of the Sgns wagon. Demir said, “We recently received the TSI production certificate for the Rgns type wagon, which is the lowest tare and most modern wagon in Europe. We have carried out the static and dynamic, brake, collision and noise tests of the Sgns wagons, which we will produce 200 units, in Austria, which is a test center in accordance with international standards. Our wagon passed these tests successfully. "We currently have 10 different types of new wagon projects that we are working on and targeting in our company."
