Negotiations in Kyrgyzstan-China railway construction completed

Negotiations completed in the construction of Kyrgyzstan-China railway: the negotiations for the railway linking China and Kyrgyzstan were completed and it was announced that they would be connected to the construction soon

Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Temir Sariyev said that the negotiations for the Kyrgyzstan - China Railway construction have reached the final stage.

In his speech at the country council, Sariyev stated that the project is of great importance not only for Kyrgyzstan, but also for the entire region, and said, "The negotiations on the construction of the Kyrgyzstan-China railway are about to be completed, we will start the construction works of this project very soon."

An attempt to build a railway linking China and Kyrgyzstan was proposed 10 years ago. In the intervening period, the parties had not reached a consensus on the financing of this project.

According to the regulation in 2012, the construction of the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway will cost 6-6.5 billion dollars.
