5 months left to the Izmit Bay Bridge: It has been announced that the Izmit Bay Bridge, which will reduce the distance between Izmir and Istanbul to 3,5 hours, will be completed in March. The statement came from the Minister of Transport, Feridun Bilgin.
Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Feridun Bilgin, made statements about the Izmit Bay Bridge.
Bilgin said, "I hope we will open the Izmit Bay Bridge to traffic in March, we will put it into service."
When the bridge is completed, Istanbul-Izmir 3,5 will land in the hour.
The bridge is planned to deliver a savings of 650 million dollars per year.
