5 October 1869 Babıali secured 10 million francs with a special contract with Hirsch and committed to pay within 65 annually.
5 October 1908 Bulgaria declared its independence. 19 April With the protocol dated 1909, it has agreed to pay 42 million francs to the Ottoman State for the remaining part of Rumeli Railways and also Belova-Vakarel line. 21 million 500 thousand francs of this figure were paid to the Oriental Railway Company.
