Half of the total world imports are made in this region. Turkey has made significant investments in terms of infrastructure, logistics industry for the past 10 years. Double roads, high-speed train projects, the 3rd Bridge to the Bosphorus and the Istanbul-Bursa-İzmir highway will give the sector a great momentum when completed. Located among the leading cities of Bursa in Turkey's exports in 2023, aims to export 75 billion dollars. BTSO Board Member Şakir Umutkan said that one of the determinants of competition in the world is the transportation of the goods produced.
Stating that road transport is carried out in developed countries at a much lower rate than sea, rail and airline, Umutkan said, “In our country, transportation is mainly carried out by road. The logistics industry is of great importance in the international competition of our companies. We will realize our logistics center within the scope of TEKNOSAB project, which we believe will shape our city for 100 years on the way of high-tech production and export. Thus, our companies will have the opportunity to transport their goods to all over the world with modern transportation methods, by means of sea, iron and road connections. ”
