Baku Tbilisi Kars railway will be able to transport freight from China to Europe: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Memmedyarov said that with the opening of Baku Tbilisi Kars railway under construction, reliable and economical transports can be made from China to Europe.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Memmedyarov attended the Turkish Language Speaking Countries Cooperation Council (TDKÜIK) Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs meeting in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Speaking at the meeting, Memmedyarov said, “The opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which is expected to be completed for the next year, will enable the transition from China to Europe to provide reliable, time-saving passenger and freight transport. He will increase the transit potential of our countries and will be a stable source of income for our economy. ”
Saying that Azerbaijan always recommends its own infrastructure for the transfer of energy resources of the Caspian Sea to the Western markets, Memmedyarov said, “Today Azerbaijan is the entrepreneur and practitioner of important energy projects such as the Southern Gas Corridor”.
