Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality continues its ski center works, which will be among the important ski centers in Yedikuyular Region.

Land allocations were made for the project in Yedikuyular Mevkii, located between the altitudes of 1850-2033 in the eastern part of Ahir Mountain. Within the Yedikuyular Ski Center Project, there are trekking and offroad tracks that can be used in summer and winter outside the ski tracks. Yedikuyular Ski Center, which is planned by conducting field studies with national skiers and Ski Center Planning experts, is a region that receives more snow than Erzurum Palandöken, one of the important centers of winter tourism. Making a name for itself in wrestling with its European, World and Olympic champion wrestlers, Kahramanmaraş will have a ski center that will appeal not only to the city but also to the region when the Yedikuyular Ski Center Project is completed, and will become one of the important centers of skiing.

Fatih Mehmet Erkoç, Mayor of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, who made evaluations regarding the project; “Thankfully, all the planning of Yedikuyular Ski Center, for which the project service procurement was signed on February 4, 2015, has been completed and the project planning work has come to an end. Apart from the ski slopes where our countrymen can enjoy skiing, the region can be used in summer and winter; We will make a 250-decare promenade area where many activities such as trekking and offroad tracks can be done. Not only people from Kahramanmaraş, but also citizens from the surrounding provinces will be able to experience the beauty of Yedikuyular and enjoy the pleasure of skiing. Erkoç emphasized that with the completion of the project, Kahramanmaraş will make a name for itself in skiing as well as its historical texture and cultural richness.

When Yedikuyular Ski Center is finished, it will appeal to provinces such as Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Osmaniye and Hatay with an average distance of 90 km, and cities such as Malatya, Adana and Mersin.
