52,1 kilometer rail system to Antalya: Expressing that the EXPO rail system is progressing rapidly, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Menderes Türel said that the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication is about to complete the construction tender.
Türel said, “We buy the vehicles, the ministry does the line construction. We are performing our tender for 25 vehicles on August 18. There is a project cost of 95 million pounds. A very important transportation network will emerge, including the airport to Antalya. We are also taking steps to improve our rail system. The 52,1 kilometer rail system line will be brought to Antalya. When we gain this, a serious convenience will be provided in public transportation, ”he said.
