Singapore Reaches New Line: Singapore Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew said that the second phase of the city center line is about to be completed. Minister Lui added that the line would be in service two months before planned.

The new line is 16,6 km long and is located in northwest Singapore. The starting point of the line is Bugis and continues to the Bukit Panjang area.

There are even total 12 stations. One of the stations of the line is Gali Batu hangar with the capacity of 81 3 wagons. Gali Batu station is also the operational center of this line.

According to forecasts, 95% of the line is expected to be finished by the end of July. The remaining part of the line will be the electrical and mechanical installation will be specified.

After the completion of the project, test drives will be implemented and the line may be put into service in December if there is no mishap.
