Pandrol CDM Track in Saudi Arabia: Pandrol CDM Track, a subsidiary of Pandrol Track Systems, has been selected for the construction of the Haramain high-speed train line in Saudi Arabia.
The word Haramain means the line between the two holy cities (Mecca-Medina). The line connects between Mecca and Medina and it also communicates with Jeddah, the largest city on the western side of Saudi Arabia.
The work to be done with the CDM-QTrack embedded rail technology of Pandrol Track Systems will be launched soon. CDM-QTrack technology has advantages such as fast installation and tough weather conditions.
An agreement will be made with a line of 17 km. There are also stations of King Abdullah, King Abdulaziz and Jeddah besides Medina and Mecca. The construction date of the line is foreseen as the last quarter of 2015.
