Alstom Trains in Algeria

Alstom Trains in Algeria: Algeria Railways (SNTF) and Alstom company agreed to purchase 17 Coradia Polyvalent electrodiesel trains. The cost of the agreement signed on 29 July was announced as 200 million Euros. It is planned that the delivery of the trains will begin in January 2018.

The trains to be taken will be used in the transportation of cities in Algeria. Trains will be used for transportation between Oran, Annaba, Constantine and Bechar.

The trains to be produced at Alstom's Reichshoffen plant in France will be produced with 6 wagons, 110 m length and 265 passenger capacity. 350 kW trains will reach 160 km / h.

Gian-Luca Erbacci, Alstom Transport's vice president in charge of the Middle East and Africa, said that Algerian citizens can now travel faster and more comfortably with these state-of-the-art trains. He added that Algeria's choice of Alstom Transport is a good choice.
