Saudi Arabia Cancels Train Purchase Agreement: Spanish company Talgo 15 announced in July that the agreement with Saudi Arabia Railways was canceled at the request of Saudi Arabia Railways (SRO). The deal included the purchase of an 201 diesel train with a total cost of $ 13 million for the Riyadh-Damman line.

Saudi Arabia Railways also announced that they have canceled the agreement through the official website. In a statement, Talgo company was thanked and hoped that understanding will be shown. SRO said they had revised the agreement and canceled the tender for the purchase of the train to be realized when the line was found to have no such need.

As it is known, the agreement was signed in February. According to the agreement, the new trains would travel faster and the travel time would shorten the 1,5 hours.

In another statement from Talgo, it was stated that the cancellation of the agreement did not change the company's 2015 and 2016 fiscal years planning and would continue its operations by focusing on other activities of the company.
