The second step for the Narlıdere subway system is complete: İzmir Metropolitan Municipality completed the ground drilling and application projects for the second part of the F.Altay-Narlıdere metro line of the 8.5 kilometer.

Extending the Izmir metro from Evka 3 to Fahrettin Altay, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is now working to extend the line to the Narlıdere Construction School.

Metropolitan Municipality, which prepared the application projects of the 8.5 kilometer part of the new metro route of 4.5 kilometers, completed the tender for the ground drilling and application projects of the remaining 4 kilometer and delivered the place delivery. Within the scope of the tender, feasibility and EIA reports will be prepared on the entire 8.5 kilometer.

Within the scope of the works planned to be completed in 9 months, the contractor will be asked for transportation study, feasibility and EIA reports for the part of the fire department of the 4.5 kilometer, Fahrettin Altay-Narlıdere, which is ready for implementation projects in the first three months. After receiving the necessary permits from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments, the tender for the construction of 4.5 station with 5 kilometers between F.Altay and Fire Department will be made.

What's in the project?

The Fahrettin Altay-Narlıdere line, which is an extension of the Üçyol-Üçkuyular metro line, will be a total length of 8.5 kilometers. In the first 10 kilometer section of the project, which is planned to be planned with 4.5 station, Balçova, Çağdaş, Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, and the 5 underground station, which are determined as Narlıdere, are located. The second stage will be the 5 subsurface station in the section until the Narlidere Correctional Regiment. The whole route is planned to be made as an open and close tunnel.

  1. This news is of course very good, very pleasing. It is necessary to congratulate İZMİR BB for this and similar initiatives. It is beyond dispute that this is admirable. Our feelings of gratitude are endless ...
But what I want to draw attention to here is to apply to all of the cities and such projects (not to cause unfairness to İZMİR)! Consider that the extension of the line to Narlıdere has a distance of 8,5lm and an 10 station (inevitably). So about the distance between stations 8.500m / 10 = 850m (assuming equal distance and not really forgetting that 400m distance can be short) X
Actually, this is the damage to the economic mind in Rail-Systems. The smallest is an X-TRX train / LRV or a subway-train set and a subway car with the 3-2 set, ie the 3 and 90-500 (100 - 600) 800 kW power with a = 0,6 will accelerate the 1,2 m / sec. (-) a = b = 2-37 to stop the brake. You can repeat this job all day, even if the vehicle is full, empty. And this is the most expensive form of investment (tunnel),… Here you can never mention the profit and damage. The biggest bullshit often made here is here. We must all accept this; BULK TRANSPORTATION IS THE STRATEGIC ASSISTANT DUTY OF AMMEN AND WILL NOT BE KILLED HERE! But I think it's a good idea to think that Tram would be more convenient!
Therefore, it is never necessary to bend and twist according to the desired direction! If we talk about real profitability; then, we should ban all vehicles that are 1-2 people, put them in the eco-vehicles of all type vehicles, and unload all the public transport systems! Environmentally friendly systems are also E-powered iron wheel vehicles! Of course there is also the lowest efficiency of e-energy, the most loss of power from the power plant. Conclusion and question: which one would you prefer; black plague or cholera?
