UIC -RAME Meeting Held in Jordan!

UIC -RAME Meeting Held in Jordan! : The 9th UIC Middle East Regional Board (RAME) Meeting, which brings together 15 railway organizations of 15 member countries of the International Railways Association UIC, was held in Jordan Dead Sea on 3 May 2015.

Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Jordan At the UIC RAME Workshop on eri Signaling and ERTMS, Solution Offers for the Middle East - Asset Management ”under the auspices of Lena Shabeb; TCDD Chairman and General Manager Omer Yildiz, as well as representatives of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Afghanistan, Jordan and Aqaba Railways, UIC Regional Office Director, member railways and UIC officials attended.

TCDD General Manager Yildiz was elected as President of the UIC Middle East Regional Board (RAME).

In his speech, Ömer Yıldız, who was elected as RAME chairman, as the General Director of TCDD and Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that the Middle East Region has become an active region with investments made in the field of railway.
Stating that Iran has already been actively monitoring its ongoing rail transport, as well as its connection with its neighbors, as in the case of the latest Turkmenistan connection, Yıldız said that in addition to the high-speed connection of sacred sites in Saudi Arabia, he said.
