The tender for the Moscow-Kazan high-speed train project was held: The tender for the high-speed train project between Moscow, the capital of Russia and Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, under the Russian Federation.
According to the Shinhua agency, two Russian companies and one of the partner companies of the China Railways Group (CREC) received the tender for the high-speed train project between the two capitals. The official signature of the project, which will cost 2,42 billion (US $ 395 million), will be taken at the end of this month.
With the high-speed train line planned to be opened in Russia before the FIFA World Cup in 2018, the travel time between Moscow and Kazan will decrease from 14 hours to 3 and a half hours.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two countries within the scope of the high-speed train cooperation during the visit of Chinese Prime Minister Li Kıçiang to Russia last year.
