Why Keçiören Subway Does Not Open: It was promised by the government that Ankara Keçiören Subway Keçiren - Tandoğan Subway line will be opened by the end of 2014. Unfortunately the subway could not be opened yet. This word hung in the air!
In a statement made by Transport Minister Binali Yıldırım on June 10, 2013, it was said that the Keçiören - Tandoğan Metro line would end in the middle of 2014. The Prime Minister of the period, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stated that the metro line, which was not completed on the date given by Binali Yıldırım, will be opened by the end of 2014.
However, Keçiörön - Tandoğan metro line could not be opened on the given dates. In May 2015, the subway line has not been opened yet. The people of Keçiören, who have been suffering for years due to the subway construction works, are waiting for the authorities to make a statement on the issue. The Ministry of Transport should explain why the opening of the Keçiören - Tandoğan metro line is delayed.
