Topbaş participated in the first rail welding ceremony in the construction of the Metro: Kadir Topbaş, the President of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), attended the first rail source ceremony in the Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe subway construction project organized in the Yamanevler metro station.
Speaking at the ceremony, Kadir Topbaş said, “Within 12 months, this place will become available. 700 thousand people profiles appeared daily, in the calculation we made for those who prefer this way. It will take some time before we foresee, but the fastest metro line, the fastest developing metro line in the world ... Another feature is the smartest, most technological and most advanced metro system. Why is that? Since it has been done recently, we do it by considering all the technologies, without the driver, without the mechanic, the system can work on its own. This is a very advanced technology. This is only done in a few cities in the world. One of them is Istanbul. In this respect, it is very different; I would like to say that it is a system that will take a modern model in the world, from its own security systems to its quality in the transportation system. It is very important, and the exit of the three-storey tunnel, which we mentioned as the only one in the world, is in Ümraniye. He will be able to come here in 12-13 minutes with the minutes from Hasdal. ”
After Topbaş's speech, the first welding was made to the tracks. Welding process was done by Kadir Topbaş.
