Eminönü-Eyüp-Alibeyköy tram line was introduced: Kadir Topbaş introduced the 19 million-dollar tram line project that will serve at 150 station between Fatih and Eyüp districts.
Mayor Kadir Topbaş, who announced his successive projects to make Istanbul transportation more comfortable, introduced Eminönü - Eyüp - Alibeyköy Tram Line, which will be 19 kilometers long with 13 stations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Feshane Culture and Congress Center, Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas said that a new ring was added to the transportation systems in Istanbul.
“IT WILL BE 30 MINUTES BETWEEN EMİNÖNÜ-ALİBEYKÖY”
The new tram line, which will reduce the travel time between Eminönü and Alibeyköy to 30 minutes, will have a capacity of 25 thousand passengers per hour. The tram line will serve Istanbulites with 19 stations. Speaking at the promotion ceremony, Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, said, “Of course, the way to make all these systems successful is to integrate the systems with each other. In other words, a person coming to a station should be able to follow the vehicle going to another station and be able to join another system if necessary. In other words, a person coming to Eminönü by sea or KabataşA person from Turkey will be able to reach the point where we are now with a seamless shear change. Then, it will continue to the north from the Fatih coasts and the Eyüp coasts to follow the Golden Horn beach, and pass the Alibeyköy by a tram line to reach the point we call the Cep Bus Terminal. ”
"BETWEEN THE RAILS WILL BE COMPLETELY GREEN"
Stating that they are continuing to work in order to avoid visual pollution, Topbaş said, “This 13-kilometer line will be green. In other words, it will continue on a green line that passes in a green at the points it passes and does not have visual pollution when there is no tram. Another thing I want is to try to build a bicycle path next to the rails, if possible. Thus, our people will go to Alibeyköy with the bicycle they will buy from Eminönü and reach the Cep Bus Station as we have mentioned ”.
