The person hit by the freight train in Konya died: the person hit by the freight train in Akşehir district died. The freight train running from Ilgın to Afyonkarahisar crashed into Abdullah Başoğlu (74790) near the Akşehir train station. Police and 18 Emergency Service teams who came to the scene after being informed, determined that Başoğlu had lost his life.
After the public prosecutor's investigation at the scene, Başoğlu's body was taken to the morgue of the Akşehir State Hospital.
Meanwhile, it was claimed that the mechanic did not notice the accident and continued on his way. The train was stopped in Sultandağı district of Afyonkarahisar.
An investigation was launched into the incident where the mechanic was detained.
