Weekly Railway Traffic Volume Increased in the USA: The total volume of rail transport in the USA ended April 18, with an increase of 1,2 percent compared to the same week in the previous year, reaching 556 wagons. According to the data released weekly by the US Railways Association (AAR), wagon and freight transportation decreased by 432 percent to 4,9, while Intermodal transportation increased by 276 percent to 416. In the same week, rail transportation in Canada increased by 8,1 percent to 280 thousand 16 wagons, while in Mexico it was determined as 2,3 thousand 144 wagons with an increase of 149 percent. Thus, total rail transport of North America increased by 16,0 percent to 27 thousand 630.
