Pala Period in the Railway-İş Union: Mahmut Nedim Pala was elected as the President of the Adana Branch of the Railway-İş Union. At the 10th Ordinary General Assembly held at the Büyük Sürmeli Hotel, the union secretary Mahmut Nedim Pala and Hüseyin Aslantaş were candidates.

In the Ordinary General Assembly, which was chaired by Hüseyin Kaya, General Secretary of Demiryol-İş Union, 152 delegates from Adana, Nusaybin, Ceyhan, Pozantı, İskenderun, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye voted. Candidate candidate Mahmut Nedim Pala was elected as the new president by receiving 135 votes, while the other candidate Hüseyin Aslantaş was able to win 35 votes.
Mahmut Nedim Pala, President of Adana Branch of Demiryol-İş Trade Union, who made a speech to thank the delegates with the announcement of the election result, said, “I will use this authority in the best way.
