Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran Railway Will Be Revived: Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Yerlan İdrisov said that Astana will invest in the revitalization of the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway, which was recently implemented.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is on an official visit to Kazakhstan, met with his Kazakh counterpart, Yerlan Idrisov, in the ministry. The two ministers met for about an hour and then chaired the delegation.

At a joint press conference after the meeting, Idrisov said that they exchanged views on regional and international issues during the meeting. Idrisov stated that they discussed the latest situation in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria and Yemen and said that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani discussed the road map that was signed after his visit to Astana.

Reminding that the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway, which was opened last December, is of great importance for the region and Kazakhstan, Idrisov low cost and fast in the transportation of cargo from Europe, Central and South Asia and the Middle East with this new line that will contribute to the development of trade between the countries of the region. He noted that it is aimed to create a transportation corridor.

Expressing his satisfaction that the nuclear talks between Iran and the 5 + 1 countries have provided a positive result, the Kazakh minister reminded that Kazakhstan is ready to do its duty to ensure peace and peace in the region.

Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif said they had reached an agreement to further develop commercial and economic cooperation. Noting that the commercial potential in agriculture and economy is high, Zarif said that Iran is closely interested in investment projects in various mineral resources area in Kazakhstan.

The 2007 aims to transport an average of 5 million tons of cargo per year on the railway line, which was started to be built with the agreement signed between Kazakhstan, Iran and Turkmenistan. 700 kilometers of the line goes to Turkmenistan, 82 to Iran and 120 to Kazakhstan.
