Historical stone bridge on the way to the world heritage: Governor of Edirne Şahin “The Long Bridge's entry into the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List will be discussed at UNESCO in July”
The Governor of Edirne, Dursun Ali Şahin, stated that the entry of the Long Bridge to the UNESCO World Heritage List will be discussed in July.
Sahin, told the reporters in the governor's office, the great works of the ancestor, he said.

Stating that they sent the work on the bridge to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Şahin said:
“The bridge will also be repaired. Now there is some money here. We continue our efforts to get the other amount out of the Ministry of Development. On the other hand, in 2021, we have started our efforts to make Edirne the World Capital of Culture. We received information about this from our Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism three or four days ago. We will make our preparations on this matter. We will have made our application to become the 2021 European Capital of Culture. ”
