Initiated wagon was transformed into a library: In order to increase the habit of reading a book by the Çankırı Municipality, the project was transformed into an idyllic wagon library.
Çankırı Mayor İrfan Dinç told reporters that the passenger car, which was idle in his gar workshop, and 1906, designed the Prussian locomotive by renting them from State Railways.
Stating that the wagon will be used as a library and the locomotive will contribute to the visual, Dinç said, “The locomotive was painted in accordance with the original. The wagon's seats were removed and shelves, tables and chairs suitable for the library were placed inside. ”
Dinç said that the locomotive and the wagon, loaded with two cranes, were moved to the area next to the Martyrdom Monument, where the 20 worker will serve 12 hourly effort.
Dinç emphasized that the total weight of the locomotive and wagon is 96 tons. We also continue the landscaping of this place. With these libraries, we aim to attract the attention of our children to books more. We plan to put the library into service with the arrival of our books in a few months. ”
