Weekly Rail Traffic Increases in the US

Weekly Railway Traffic Volume Increased in the USA: The total volume of railroad transportation in the USA, which ended with March 14, increased by 1,5 percent compared to the same week in the previous year and became 553 thousand 31 wagons. According to the data released weekly by the US Railways Association (AAR), wagon and freight transportation decreased by 3,5 percent to 278 thousand 856, while Intermodal transportation increased by 7,0 percent to 274 thousand 175. In the same week, rail transportation in Canada increased by 9,9 percent to 138 thousand 16 wagons, while in Mexico it was determined as 6,6 thousand 27 wagons with an increase of 676 percent. Thus, the total rail transport of North America increased by 3,2 percent to 718 thousand 723.
