Awards ceremony to Turkey Orienteering Federation President Thomas Colakoglu, Sarykamysh Göksal Toksoy Mayor, Provincial Director of Youth Services and Sports Gursel Parker, representatives of public institutions, athletes and invited guests attended.
Mayor Toksoy, in the opening speech, said 'Welcome' to the athletes and guests participating in the 'Ski Orientation Competition' which was officially held for the first time. Stating that the organization will contribute to the development of Ski Orienteering discipline in both Sarıkamış and Sarıkamış, Mayor Toksoy said:
“As the municipality, we are proud of adding a new one to the activities we have carried out to this day. I thank everyone for the intense interest in the organization. We evaluate that the Ski Orienteering competition we held in Sarıkamış on 21-22 March 2015 is a big stepping stone for us and our country. We think that our organization did not only support the Turkish Orienteering but also contributed greatly to the international level in the coming years. ”
After the speeches, awards were given to the winners of the 'Ski Orientation' competitions.
