Free Transport for Those Who Take the Lys Ygs Exam in Istanbul: Istanbul decided to make public transportation vehicles free of charge for students and officials who will take the YGS and LYS exam on March 15th. Students will be able to travel for free on IETT bus, metrobus, City Lines ferries, tram, light metro, subway, funicular, Bus AŞ buses and private public buses by submitting the exam entry documents and the officers.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council decided that students and officials who will take the Transition to Higher Education Examination (YGS) to be held on 15 March and the Undergraduate Placement Exams (LYS) between 13-14-20-21 June, will benefit from public transportation vehicles free of charge. In the first combination of March meetings held in Saraçhane campus of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, AK Party Group President Abubekir Taşyürek and CHP Group Vice President Ertuğrul Gülsever made a proposal for students and officials to enter YGS and LYS free of charge.
The written proposal, which was discussed as a "proposal decision", was accepted unanimously.
According to the decision, students and officers who will enter LYS to be held between 15-13-14-20 June with YGS on March 21 will benefit from public transportation vehicles until 11.00, free of charge.
The students will be able to travel free of charge on IETT bus, metrobus, City Lines ferries, tram, light metro, subway, funicular, bus coach buses and private public busses.
