Railway monopoly in Norway

Norway's monopoly of railway monopolies: The Norwegian government plans to open railways across the country to the private sector.

According to the news of the newspaper Aftenposten, the monopoly of the Norwegian State Railways (NSB) will be lifted and the institution will continue to serve as a directorate. It is stated that foreign and local private companies can also carry passengers by rail if the proposed law to be submitted in April passes.

Christian People's Party (KrF) Transportation Policy SözcüFredrik Grøvan stressed that they want to build competition on railways. Grøvan pointed out that the quality of the services provided to people will increase in the event of competition, and that they support this reform to meet the increasing need for transportation.
