Yapı Merkezi laid the foundation of the 391 Km Railway Project in Ethiopia: The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Awash-Kombolcha-Hara Gebaya Railway Project, which we will build in Ethiopia, was held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Kombolcha. The project, which will start from the northeast of Awash city and continue to the north and reach Weldia through Kombolcha city, is strategically important as it brings together the northern and eastern economic regions of Ethiopia. The railway will connect the north railway, from Mekelle to Hara Gebeya and Tadjourah, with the central railway line between Addis and Djibouti, a major corridor for passenger and freight traffic and import and export products from Djibouti Port. In addition, the construction of the Awash-Kombolcha-Hara Gebaya Railway will play an important role in ensuring the connection between the northern part and the center of the country.

All design and construction works; In addition to excavation, viaducts, bridges, tunnels, rail laying, stations, warehouse and repair-maintenance area, energy supply, catenary, signaling, communication, OCC & SCADA, the training of the personnel will be done by Yapı Merkezi.
