When the project is completed, Balıkesir will be connected with Çanakkale highway. It will extend to Tekirdağ over the Çanakkale bridge and from there to Kapıkule. Thus, a ring will be created by the highway in the Marmara Region. With the project in question, the traffic burden of Istanbul will be reduced, transportation costs will decrease, and the transportation activities of the Aegean Region will be able to be carried out via Çanakkale.
