Ataköy-İkitelli metro will cost 850 million lira: The new metro line that Istanbul Municipality plans to build between Ataköy and İkitelli Organized Industrial Site has reached the EIA stage. The 13 thousand 420 meters long metro line will cost 850 million lira. The new line will be integrated into Marmaray.

The Governorship of Istanbul approved the “Ataköy-İkitelli Rail Public Transport System Project” prepared by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department and started the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. According to the information in the introductory file of the project submitted to the Governorship of Istanbul, the new subway route, which will start in front of Ömer Duruk Mosque in the 5th Section of Ataköy, will follow the Basın Ekspres Yolu and extend to Başakşehir İkitelli Organized Industrial Site. In the promotional file, which stated that the Basın Ekspres Yolu became inoperable due to heavy traffic, especially in the morning and evening, it was emphasized that the traffic on main roads such as E-5 and TEM was planned to be relieved by the construction of the metro line in the region.

INTEGRATED IN MARMARAY
Combining with the old suburban line in Ataköy, the new metro line will also provide integration with the Marmaray Line and Başakşehir-Kirazlı Metro Line. Within the scope of the works, 13 cubic meters of soil will be extracted from the metro tunnels that will be 420 thousand 858 meters long. In the new metro line, İkitelli Güney, Masko, Bahariye, Mehmet Akif, Halkalı Chad. (212), Evren Güneşli, Mimar Sinan, Doğu Sanayi, Kuyumcukent, Çobançeşme, Yenibosna and Ataköy will have a total of 12 stations. According to the report prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality, the new metro line will cost 850 million lira.
