Amed roads will be paved: Amed Metropolitan Municipality, in the central and rural areas, due to infrastructure work of institutions destroyed and due to seasonal conditions, the program will continue to work on the deteriorating roads and continues to prepare for the month of April.
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department, which maintains maintenance and repair works at many points of the city, will start paving works in April if weather conditions are appropriate. The Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department, which has started to create the program of the works that will be carried out in the central and rural areas due to the infrastructure works of the institutions and due to the seasonal conditions, gave information about the preparations and works carried out.
The department head, whose patching, maintenance and repair work was carried out in many parts of the city before the asphalt season in order to ensure the safe navigation of the vehicles on the roads, stated that with the start of the season, 3 teams will be formed in the countryside and the center and the roads will be asphalted quickly. According to the information obtained from the Department, 260 thousand tons of asphalt will be poured in the city center and districts in infrastructure works and new road works; Approximately 8 kilometers of asphalt will be made, 7 meters wide and 190 cm thick.
1110 km road work in countryside
As part of the preparations for the asphalt season of 2015, the tender processes of the road works to be carried out in 13 district were brought to the completion stage and road teams were created. With the completion of tender processes and weather conditions, the 5 km surface covering, 700 mileage stabilization, 400 kilometer stabilized, 10 kilometer locked paving stone, 1110 km road work will be carried out in rural areas.
In our city, where there is a total rural road network of approximately 5 thousand 600 kilometers, the works to be carried out only in rural areas during the year will correspond to approximately 20 percent of the total road and 60 million (trillion) will be spent on the works to be carried out only on the rural road network.
260 thousand tons of asphalt will be poured
Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department, infrastructure works and new road works, the city center and districts will pour 260 thousand tons of asphalt, 8 meter-wide 7 cm thick 190 mile asphalt will be laid.
Within the scope of this program, 14 thousand tons of bitumen and 5 thousand tons of it were invested in TÜPRAŞ in asphalt works, while 1200 tons of bitumen have been withdrawn to stocks so far, the tender process for purchasing 80 thousand aggregates continues. In these works, 210 thousand tons of asphalt will be poured by contractors and 50 thousand tons of asphalt will be poured by Metropolitan Municipality teams.
In addition, 30 thousand tons of asphalt will be used in the patch work of the city center and village group roads, for these works will be spent around 40 million TL. Work will continue with the patch team 3 where the rainwater network works and patch works.
