Ministry of Transport undertakes construction of 3 metro and 1 tram line

Ministry of Transport has undertaken the construction of the 3 metro and 1 tram line: Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, said that they undertake the construction of the 3 metro and 1 tram line project.

In his written statement, Elvan carried out the project and construction works of the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro line in Ankara, the Yenikapı-İncirli, İncirli-Sefaköy subway line in Istanbul and the Meydan-Airport-EXPO Tram line in Antalya with the decision of the Council of Ministers. and reported that the Ministry of Communications undertook.
Reminding that the said decree was published in today's Official Gazette, Elvan noted that the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro line in Ankara was designed entirely underground with subway standards, and consisted of 3,3 kilometers and 3 stations.

Pointing out that this is the project of extending the Keçiören-Atatürk Cultural Center Metro line to Kızılay over the station after the AKM Station, Elvan said, the project is planned by the YHT at the station station and the railway system, cable car and bus main transfer station planned by the municipality, and He noted that it will provide integration with Çayyolu and Batıkent metro stations.

Underlining that the Yenikapı-İncirli line in Istanbul was designed entirely underground with metro standards, Elvan gave the following information:
“The said project, consisting of 7 kilometers and 5 stations, is the extension of the Hacıosman-Taksim-Yenikapı metro line to İncirli. Yenikapı transfer center will be integrated with Marmaray and Yenikapı-Airport rail system lines, while İncirli transfer center will be integrated with Bakırköy-Başakşehir, Bakırköy-Beylikdüzü and İdo-Kirazlı rail system lines. By connecting seamlessly with the İncirli-Sefaköy line, a direct connection will be provided between Hacıosman-Beylükdüzü. "
Elvan stated that the Incirli-Sefakoy Metro line was completely designed with metro standards and that it was composed of 7,2 kilometers and 6 stations. The project, Incirli-Sefaköy section of the first phase of the Bakirkoy-Beylükdüzü line, indicating that Elvan, the transfer center at Incirli transfer headquarters, Bakırköy-Basaksehir, Yenikapi-Incirli and Ido-Kirazli rail system will be integrated with the lines, Hacıosman-said there will be a direct connection between Sefaköy.

Providing information about the Meydan-Airport-EXPO Tram line project in Antalya, Minister Elvan said, “Approximately 16,8 kilometers of the line is level, 1 kilometer is on-and-off, 160 meters is a bridge. It has been designed with tram standards and consists of 17,2 kilometers and 6 stations. It is the continuation of the existing 11,1 kilometer first stage Kepez-Meydan tram line. With this project, the city will be connected to the airport and EXPO 2016 without interruption ”.
