Şanlıurfa Requests Shares from Winter Tourism: Work has been initiated for the construction of accommodation facility, chair lift and new track in Karacadağ, the only ski resort in the Southeastern Anatolia Region Siverek District Governor Erkal: "Karacadağ Ski Center may become a center of attraction like Uludağ and Kartepe in the future"

Turkey, which is one of the hottest cities of Sanliurfa, wants to share with the winter ski resort that embodies Karacadağ tourism.

Karacadağ Ski Center, which is described as the "Uludag of the Southeast" among the people, 45 kilometers from Siverek district center, is preferred by the people of the region.

Particularly during the semesters and weekends, some of those who come to the center are enjoying skiing on a white cover, while others burn out barbeque in the fresh air.

Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Batman and Adiyaman from the surrounding cities as the host of the day to host the center of the center, ski lovers can be accommodated in a structure to work at night.

With the project prepared by Şanlı Urfa Metropolitan Municipality, a chair lift and a new runway will be built in the region, as well as an accommodation facility. With the completion of the works, it is aimed that Karacadağ will get a greater share from tourism and become a center of attraction in the region.

"They will both have fun and get to know the culture of the region closely."

Siverek District Governor, Hamza Erkal, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that Şanlı Urfa Metropolitan Municipality is working on the center.

Erkal stated that with the project, accommodation facilities and chairlift will be built in the region and the runway will be extended and corrected, and said, "This will be a nice ski resort with the correction of the track."

Erkal said that the people who will come to the region will have a good time to slide and have a chance to get acquainted with the culture of the region.

Emphasizing that people will prefer Karacadağ Ski Center to spend the weekend with the accommodation facilities to be built, Ekral said:

“Karacadağ Ski Center may become an attraction center like Uludağ and Kartepe in the future. People in the region come here anyway, but if they come from other regions, especially Adana, Mersin and Hatay, the center will become more alive. In addition, local and foreign tourists coming to the region will have the opportunity to closely see the traditions that have been going on for years. On the other hand, Karacadağ region is a place where natural and endemic plants are grown. By visiting the region, they will have the chance to examine endemic plants and also have the chance to taste natural products. "
