The road was closed when the crack in the highway grew, the transport was taken to the lane

When the crack on the highway grew larger, the road was closed, transportation was taken to the opposite lane: As the recently formed crack near Erenköy (İntepe) on the 17th kilometer of Çanakkale-İzmir Highway gradually grew and deepened, 2 kilometers of the road was closed to transportation.
From the closed section, the opposite direction, which was double, was reduced to a single lane and started to be used for departure and arrival. The small crack that occurred on the highway from Çanakkale to İzmir a few days ago, became a dent on the double road as it grew day by day. The crack, which was stated to be caused by the collapse of the filling material and the absence of a retaining wall at the bottom, grew up to 50 centimeters. It has been observed that a leg can enter the crack, which can be easily entered by a hand, up to the knee. As the negativity on the road created a danger, the 2-kilometer section between the section where the collapse was observed was closed to transportation by police teams. Starting from the closed section, the opposite direction, which was double, was reduced to one lane and started to be used for departure and arrival transportation. Road teams in the region have not yet done any work.
