Giresun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GTSO) President Hasan Çakırmelikoğlu, Giresun South Ring Road project to be completed with the completion of the province will accelerate the growth process.
Çakırmelikoğlu, said in a statement, GTSO and Giresun Architects Chamber raised by the project in May or June this year will go to the tender said.
Emphasizing that the project between Piraziz and Keşap districts is of great importance for the future of Giresun, Çakırmelikoğlu said, “The planned areas in Giresun city center have been determined as 2 thousand 254 hectares. 60 percent of this area is in use. Only 31 percent of the 15 thousand hectare area in Giresun is in a position to be built. Therefore, there is an absolute need for the South Ring Road in order to grow in the south-north axis of Giresun city center in terms of zoned area. This road is indispensable for the healthy growth of the city center and districts. ”
Pointing out that the growth process of Giresun will further accelerate with the completion of the project, Çakırmelikoğlu said:
“In Giresun, the economic and zoning negativity that has occurred in the last 30 years is the absence of growth areas, and commercial and zoning development has not been possible. As Giresun has accepted to build in a narrow corridor in the past, it caused important environmental problems that brought about urbanization and concrete. Failure to establish commercial and industrial areas brought with it migration and economic decline. With the Giresun South Ring Road project, Giresun city center will also provide solutions for new commercial and residential areas, green space and urban traffic, which has been increasingly causing chaos in recent times. While Giresun is growing in the east-west axis today, we believe that it will develop in the north-south axis just like neighboring cities, and that it will create new commercial areas and employment areas. Giresun South Ring Road, which will enable the solution of economic and development problems experienced from the past to the present, will contribute greatly to the development of our city. ”
