Traffic on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge

Traffic Returned to Normal on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge: The works for free pass fare totala system on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge have been completed. As of 16.00, the closed lanes on the bridge were opened and the traffic flow returned to normal.
The works started on January 25, 2015 in the fare totala system at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge have been completed. Canopies and box office islands in the bridge box office area have been removed for the free toll fare system. The works carried out by closing four lanes on the bridge were completed 6 days before the planned date. After the completion of the works, the closed lanes on the bridge were opened at 16.00 and the traffic flow returned to normal.
With the removal of the blockbusters on the FSM, the drivers will advance on the five lane road without changing lanes and enter the bridge, thus avoiding the loss of time. With the new arrangement, the vehicles will not need to shift to the OGS or HGS passages, and the two systems will have recognition systems above each lane.
