There must be a subway connection with Schiphol airport

There should be a subway connection with Schiphol airport: GVB, the Amsterdam Public Transport company, is considering a metro line connecting the city center to Schiphol airport. However, more investments are needed for this project.

Alexandra van Huffelen, director of the Amsterdam Public Transport company, GVB, said in a statement to the Finnish daily Dancilbag on Tuesday that more investments are needed for the metro line connecting the city to Schiphol airport. Van Huffelen, in this context, Schiphol CEO Jos Nijhuis'un said support the words.

In a statement, Nijhuis said it would be wise to expand the Amsterdam Noord / Zuid line to Schiphol. Nijhuis emphasized the need for this project, especially due to increased passenger capacity.

But van Huffelen thinks differently about the line that needs to be expanded. According to Alexandra van Huffelen, the Oost / Westlijn line should be expanded from IJburg to the Noord / Zuid line and connected to the airport via Osdorp and Riekerpolder.
