Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Mayor Fatih Mehmet Erkoç said that the bridge that will be built on Aksu River will connect old neighborhoods and new neighborhoods. Erkoç made examinations in the area where the bridge will be built, together with the heads of the department and their advisors. Expressing that they have completed their study, Erkoç said, “When this bridge is built, the villages that turn into neighborhoods will be connected to neighborhoods in the center, and transportation to the city center will be easier.”

Explaining that the tender will be held when the project works are completed, President Erkoç said, “This work will start from Kalekaya, to Fatih Mahallesi, from Yeşilyöre to the center, by providing the connection of our Büyüksır, Küçüksır, Karadere, Kale, Hartlap, Dereboğazı, Kızıldamlar and Öşlü neighborhoods to the city center. "It will make the lives of approximately 60 thousand people living in the region easier." Reminding that the project is among the promises made before the election, Erkoç said, “We are currently determining the routes. We will make the necessary plan changes by adding to the plan. As soon as we complete the application project, we will ensure that this road is opened to transportation as soon as possible by conducting the construction tender. With the construction of the bridge and road, our citizens who use the Adana road will now use this route. Thus, the density on the Adana road will also decrease. ”
