Elvan: Ordu-Giresun Airport in the first half scheduled to başlayacak.ulaştır on the year, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lutfi Elvan, for the first time, he said the sea would be completed by the end of March, the Airport Giresun and Ordu-made with the filler in Turkey. Elvan said that they will start scheduled flights in the first half of the year.
Minister Lütfi Elvan made his first descent into the completed section of the runway after inspecting the helicopter carrying himself on airport filling and terminal construction. Army Governor Irfan Balkanlıoğlu and other officials welcomed the Minister Elvan. Following the arrival of the waiting vehicle in the area and Elvan filling in the field, made a statement about the airport.
Emphasizing that today is an important and valuable day for them, Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan said, “We made examinations with friends at Ordu-Giresun Airport. As you know, our Ordu-Giresun Airport, the first airport built on our sea in Turkey. When we look around the world, we see that this airport is the third airport in the world. One is in Japan, the other is in Hong Kong and the third one is being built in Ordu-Giresun provinces. Therefore, it is an airport that can set an example in the world. So I think we should be proud of this airport. This is Ordu-Giresun Airport, which is my best answer to those who criticize us, our government, our ministry and the third airport. If you ask why; As you know, a lot of articles have been written and drawn that the third airport cannot be built in the swamp and that such an airport cannot be built in Istanbul. We build an airport on the sea aside from the swamp. I think that the critics who come to Ordu and Giresun to see and visit this airport should see what Turkish engineers, technicians and contractors are doing here. ” he spoke.
Expressing that Ordu-Giresun Airport is suitable for the landing take-off of any kind with a 3-kilometer runway length, Elvan pointed out that the terminal of 38 thousand square meters will have the capacity to serve 3 million passengers.
Answering the questions of journalists after his statements, Elvan answered the question about the claims that the airport is dangerous to be built on the sea and will be affected by the waves: “Certainly, this is not the case. While the friends were designing the infrastructure and heights of the breakwaters, they did this by reviewing a full 100-year history. You know, this year we were facing very severe storms. There were floods in many of our provinces, also in our Black Sea Region. In other words, our road was really closed by sea water and flood. There was not a slight impact, it is not possible. Therefore, all studies have been done in accordance with the technique. Both our engineer colleagues and our bureaucrat colleagues had done all the detail work. There is no hesitation in that matter. No worries. ”
On a question about whether there is a railway project in the Black Sea, Minister Elvan said, “Within the framework of the 2023 vision, we will have a railway line from West to Edirne to Kars, from Samsun to the Mediterranean in the Black Sea in the North. We will also have a railway line from Izmir to Habur. We also have lines connecting Central Anatolia to the Mediterranean, the Aegean and the Black Sea. In this framework, our works continue. In the plan and program we developed in the perspective of 2023, we will have a high-speed train line from Samsun to Yozgat Yerköy and from there to Ulukışla and Adana to Mersin. ” spoke in the form.
