The winter tourism corridor will revitalize tourism: The Eastern Black Sea Development Agency will spend 2 billion lira to create a 'Winter Tourism Corridor' from Ordu to Artvin within the scope of the efforts to revive winter tourism in the region. DOKA General Secretary Kaldirim said, "The tourist starting his holiday from Ordu will be able to visit the winter tourism centers with different alternatives such as skiing or thermal up to Artvin thanks to the corridor."
The Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) is implementing efforts to establish a "winter tourism corridor" from Ordu to Artvin within the scope of projects aimed at developing winter tourism in the region. Turkey's most important tourism centers of the Eastern Black Sea has become one of history that offers natural beauty and is getting the attention of domestic and foreign tourists with cultural and sporting activities. Eastern Black Sea, which hosts millions of local and foreign tourists every year, will become an important center in tourism for 2 months with the project to be implemented with an expenditure of 12 billion lira within the scope of the efforts to create different alternatives in the region and to revive winter tourism.
NUMBER OF TOURISTS ARE RISKING EVERY YEAR
DOKA Secretary General Çetin Oktay Kaldirim stated that the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting the Eastern Black Sea increased every year, and that the number of visitors increased by 2014 percent in 25 and exceeded 5 million. Stating that it is important to create different alternatives in tourism in the region, Kalkan said, “We attach importance to spreading the tourism potential to 12 months and creating infrastructure works for tourism. Therefore, as DOKA, we developed strategies in every field and created projects in this direction ”.

Explaining that people who want to take advantage of winter tourism opportunities do not spend their holidays in one place, Pavement said, “If the tourists who go on winter tourism make a 15-day plan, they want to spend their days visiting different regions. We offer this opportunity to our local and foreign tourists coming to our region. Domestic and foreign tourists starting their holidays from Ordu will be able to visit ski centers up to Artvin and winter tourism centers with different alternatives such as thermal tourism, thanks to the 'winter tourism corridor'. Therefore, a very good tourism alternative will be offered to our tourists, ”he said.
TOURISM POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
Noting that they started to work in Ordu within the scope of the project, Kalkan said, “Apart from Ordu, Atabarı Ski Center in Artvin, Kümbet Plateau in Giresun, Zigana Winter Tourism Center in Gümüşhane, Süleymaniye Winter Tourism Center, Çakırgöl Winter Tourism Center, Çambaşı Plateau in Ordu We established a 'winter tourism corridor' that will include the Winter Sports Center, Ovit in Trabzon and Rize, Uzungöl Winter Center, Ayder Winter Sports Tourism Center and Kaçkar Mountains Heliski Center. There is a tourism potential in the Eastern Black Sea Region. This needs to be improved. This situation is very important for our region. " said.
