Tekkeköy light rail system line will end in 2017: Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz announced that they will complete the rail system line to be built between Tekkeköy Junction and Station Junction until the 2017 Deaflympics in Samsun.
Underlining that they will transform the preferential road work on the route between Tekkeköy Junction and the Station Junction into a rail system, Mayor Yılmaz said, “We are working intensively on the route that we started as preferential road construction but most likely will turn into a rail system. We are doing this work to transform and renew the infrastructure in İlkadım and Örnek Industrial Sites. We take the transportation to Tekkeköy Junction with the rail system, which is one of the most advanced systems in the world. We think that this will contribute to the transportation of industrial sites in these areas and increase the attractiveness of these places as in Atakum. In 1,5 years, we will probably finish this new rail line until the 2017 Deaflympics. This rail system will improve Tekkeköy. "The interest of our small industrialists who want to break away from the organized industry, logistics area and possibly the manufacturing industry in that area should be increased."
President Yilmaz breakfast after the Governor Ibrahim Sahin and AK Party Provincial Chairman Fuat Köktaş visited the hotel with the investigations.
