Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Gaziantep, Bolu, Bursa, Diyarbakir, Erzurum, Istanbul, Izmir, Samsun, Sivas and Trabzon regional directorates connected to the 75 roadside inspection station, 2014 in total 34 million 942 thousand 988 vehicles were inspected.
During the inspections, 126 thousand 676 vehicle drivers were fined a total of 116 million 208 thousand 753 TL on the grounds that they violated the rules specified in the Road Transport Law and the Highways Traffic Law.
The most vehicle controls were carried out at roadside inspection stations affiliated with the Istanbul Regional Directorate. In Istanbul, where 10 million 479 thousand 604 vehicles were inspected, a fine of 31 million 77 thousand 994 TL was applied.

116 million 208 thousand 753 liras of the total 39 million 100 thousand 512 lira penalty imposed during the inspections resulted from the violation of the Road Transport Law and 72 million 151 thousand 128 liras of the Road Traffic Law. It was observed that most of the penalties were imposed for "lack of authorization" and "overloading".
According to the distribution of the number of penalties by regional directorates, Istanbul ranked first with 29,99. This province was followed by Adana with 17,16 and Izmir with 10,26.
