Tajikistan Foreign Minister Hamrahan Zarifi described the railway construction project, which will connect its country with Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, as "steel ties of friendship".
Explaining to the Tajik press, Zarifi emphasized that the realization of the regional railway construction project that connects Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, will be a very important link for countries in the Asian continent in international transportation, and emphasized this railway construction as "steel ties of friendship".
In this framework, mentioning the importance of the geographical location of Tajikistan, Zarifi noted that his country is located at the intersection of the roads connecting the West and East, South-East Asian countries and Europe.
It is noted that the realization of the railway project in question will significantly contribute to the re-development of Afghanistan and the improvement of the social-economic situation in this country, and with the realization of this project, alternative transportation corridors for these countries have been created, the foreign trade volume among these countries has increased and more He stated that he would create employment and serve foreign investment.
Foreign Minister Zarifi also reminded that his country's foreign trade volume with neighboring Afghanistan and Turkmenistan has increased gradually and that this railway construction will be stimulated to further develop the cooperation between these countries.
The heads of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, who met in March this year in Ashgabat, agreed to implement the railway construction that will link these countries.
Tajikistan, which does not have a seafront, has some difficulties in the railway transportation that will connect other countries, but it has only one railway network passing through Uzbekistan.
