Izmir subway market: citizens who want to call an ambulance to fall down the ladder suffered panic due to not attracting phones
The situation of Osman Cerit (64), who fell from the meriven while running to catch the train at Çankaya Metro Station, had a fearful moments for half an hour. Osman Cerit, who quickly descended the stairs to catch the train in Çankaya, one of the stations where the subway was busiest, at around 18.30 the previous day, lost his balance and tumbled. Cerit, who fell to the last step, could not get up due to the blow to his waist and head. Passengers rushed to the aid of Osman Cerit, who was lying on the ground. When Osman Cerit passed out, citizens wanted to call 112 Emergency Service on his mobile phone. However, due to security reasons, GSM operators were not allowed to provide services in the subway, so no mobile phones worked and no one could reach 112 from the subway. Security guards came to Osman Cerit, informed the center by radio for help and asked to send an ambulance. For about 15 minutes, 64-year-old Cerit sat in ecstasy, his head covered in blood. Osman Cerit, who was taken to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, was discharged in the morning.
