Osman Cerit (64) was injured in the incident that took place in İzmir Metro Çankaya Station in the past days. Although passengers wanted to call 112 to report the situation, their cell phones had not received. While mobile phones were partially received in Istanbul and Ankara and in Bursa without any problem, citizens reacted to the interruption of communication in Izmir.
While these developments were taking place on the metro line in Izmir, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek was not indifferent to the complaints from citizens that mobile phone signals were not received in Ankara Metro and Ankaray. In the last session of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality November Assembly, it was decided to establish a system for an indoor station to ensure uninterrupted communication in Metro and Ankaray. According to the decision taken; It has been learned that an indoor station communication system will be installed at stations on other subway lines, including the metro and Ankaray, and this system will be leased for 10 years.
