Minister Elvan said that the existing highway and D-100 did not meet the need. Reminding that there was an incredible congestion, Elvan underlined that they wanted to finish the highway project of the section starting from Sakarya Akyazı and from Kocaeli to Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and from there to Paşaköy-Odayeri-Tekirdağ-Kınalı. Explaining that they have been on the highway tender between Odayeri-Kınalı and Sakarya Akyazı-Kurtköy, Elvan said that there will be no need to use the Old Istanbul Road.
