Aksaray-Yenikapi metro line is for daily 900 thousand people

Aksaray-Yenikapı metro line appeals to 900 thousand people daily: A new metro line has been added to the metro lines in Istanbul. The opening of the metro line, which will continue its flights between Aksaray and Yenikapı, was made yesterday.

DAILY 900 THOUSAND IS HAPPENING TO OUR PEOPLE

The opening ceremony was held by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Lütfi Elvan, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kadir Topbaş.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Elvan stated that the Aksaray-Yenikapı subway line and the new station opened are the construction of a lost link with the Atatürk Airport, Marmaray and Yenikapı-Taksim-Hacıosman metro connections, and said, “This meaningful connection is 900 per day traveling in subways and Marmaray. “It directly appeals to one thousand of our people”.

In the continuation of his words, Elvan stated that the modernization of Istanbul suburban lines to be integrated with Marmaray, high-speed train and Istanbul subways and transforming them into superficial metro is the product of this love, and doing whatever is necessary to Istanbul, as a child of this country, owes their necks. He stated that he was.

WE HAVE MORE WAY TO TAKE MORE

Kadir Topbaş, who was among the names who made the speech at the opening, stated that living as a manager in Istanbul brings a different responsibility and happiness, “When we took office, the daily activity in Istanbul was around 2004 million in 11, and today it has reached 23 million. It is not possible to meet this mobility with individual vehicles. The civilization scale of a city depends on the rate of people living in that city using public transportation. In order for our people to use public transportation, quality, comfortable, fast and safe systems must be created.

When we took office, we made the city's transportation master plans. And now we are implementing those plans we made one by one. The line we are opening today is very special. As the municipality, we have invested 32,5 billion only in transportation, but there is a long way to go and we count ourselves at the very beginning. This very short but very special line that we will open here today will bring an important comfort to Istanbul. With this line we will open, it constitutes an important pillar of uninterrupted transportation in Istanbul. This work took a long time because we reached archaeological remains during our work in Yenikapı. On this occasion, the history of Istanbul was rewritten. With this line we will open, 13 districts will be connected to each other. " he spoke.
